I work as a Design Engineer at Red Fox Create, a Cape Town-based design and manufacturing company specialising in custom retail displays, point-of-sale solutions, branded environments, and bespoke installations.

Red Fox Create brings brands to life through creative design, technical innovation, and precision manufacturing, producing everything from illuminated displays and product glorifiers to custom furniture, promotional structures, and large-scale brand experiences.

What I Do

My role is where creativity meets engineering.

I take creative concepts and transform them into practical, production-ready designs, ensuring that what looks impressive on screen can actually be manufactured, assembled, and used in the real world.

Using SolidWorks and the principles of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), I develop detailed 3D models, technical drawings, material specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

I work closely with creative designers, production teams, and suppliers to solve technical challenges, optimise manufacturing methods, select appropriate materials, and ensure each design is functional, cost-conscious, and built to last.

My philosophy is simple: A successful design shouldn’t just look good. It should work, be practical to manufacture, and make the journey from concept to finished product as seamless as possible.

Because even the most brilliant idea needs someone to figure out how to build it.
